London Bridges
by James Patterson
Book Review by Amy Coffin
London Bridges reunites Alex Cross with two prominent villains: The Wolf and The Weasel. Both are heinous killers. Both are back again to terrorize others. This time, their platform is global. New York, London, Washington, Frankfurt and Paris are targeted. The Wolf demands billions of dollars and the release of prisoners or mass destruction will be unleashed across the globe.

This tenth installment in the Alex Cross series is just as fresh as the Along Came a Spider debut. James Patterson is a master of suspense, creating bigger plots and increasingly diabolical criminal acts. Cross’s personal life suffers in this installment, which is hard for loyal fans of Nana Mama and the children. However, our favorite detective travels across the globe determined learn the identity of The Wolf and bring down the world’s most notorious killer.

To fully appreciate the complexity of Alex Cross and his past, start with Along Came a Spider and read the series in order. Patterson has also written for a great female lead character in 1st to Die, sentimental love stories (Sam’s Letters to Jennifer, Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas), and even a children’s tale (Santa Kid).

Any book by James Patterson is sure to please. He’s a versatile author whose talents have been proven time and time again on bestseller lists. London Bridges equally popular as previous novels and makes a nice addition to the Alex Cross series.
